System Exclusive problems

HI,
When I allow Sys Ex into Nuendo and play a keyboard at the same time, the computer re-boots after a while.
It also does it when running Pro Tools.
I am using an AMT8 via usb.
Would it be better to use the serial port.
Does Sys ex cause a heat build up on the usb bus?
Is there a way around this.
I have my Kenton Control Freak pro connected to one port.
My Motif XS connected to another via midi.
Am trying to control my analogue synths (Super Jupiter and MKS-50)

I wonder if this could be the combination of sys-ex from your mLAN system meeting the sys-ex of your modules?
What happens if you block all sys-ex traffic from mLAN?

Hi,
I don't use the mLAN asio drivers.
I only use mLAN for the routing around the studio.
I use the Digidesign TDM Mix cards asio drivers (16 channels), fantastic asio drivers by the way.
So it has nothing to do with mLAN.
Any other insights?
Do you record sys ex and move faders on say a control device and control an analogue synth and record the data without any problems.
If so, how do you go about it?
